I'm Gráinne Hashemi, an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist with over 28 years' experience helping adults and young people overcome anxiety, OCD, depression and trauma.

About Gráinne
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, supporting them to develop the skills and confidence needed to make lasting changes in their lives.
My approach is both CBT and psychodynamic, but also collaborative and evidence-based. I believe every person is unique, and I tailor therapy to meet each individual's needs — helping you to understand the patterns that keep difficulties going, and equipping you with practical strategies to move forward.
Over the past 28 years, I have worked with clients experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, from mild anxiety to more complex and long-standing presentations. I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment, where clients feel understood, empowered and hopeful.
I am committed to helping my clients build resilience, achieve their goals and live fuller, more meaningful lives.
Seeking support can be one of the most daunting steps to take, but it is often the beginning of positive and lasting change.

How cognitive behavioural therapy works
CBT is one of the most effective, research-based treatments. We will spend time exploring how unhelpful thought patterns are maintaining a negative pattern of behaviour. Recognising these patterns will allow you to challenge and reframe your thoughts to improve emotional well-being.
